Each open snag shows who is fixing it and for how long.

  • Every site in one list

Open snags across projects, grouped by person or project.

Tap Fixed + photo to add the after shot.

  • Placed by stage and room

With a stage plan, pick the stage and the floor or room.

  • Your client sees progress

Before and after photos, unless you keep a snag to your studio.

  • No stage closes blind

Close a stage with open snags and Blueprint says how many.

How it works

Log it, fix it, prove it

  1. Add the snag

A short name, where it is, who is fixing it and a photo.

  2. Watch what is open

Snags open for a week turn amber, and red after two.

  3. Mark it fixed

Add an after photo, or just mark it fixed. Reopen it if it was not.

FAQ

Snag list questions

Is a snag list the same as a punch list?

Yes. Snag list, punch list and defects list all mean the small faults to fix before handover. In Blueprint it is the Snags tab of each project.

Can my client see the snags?

Yes, when the client link is on, with before and after photos once a snag is fixed. Tap the eye on a snag to keep it to your studio instead.

Can interns add snags?

Yes. Interns add snags and can mark open ones fixed. Reopening a fixed snag, or choosing what your client sees, needs a team member or the owner.

What if a snag was logged by mistake?

Cancel it with a reason. It leaves the open list and your client's page, and stays in the record with the reason.

More about the snag list

A snag list for interior and building projects

Snags are the small defects that turn up near the end of a job: a chipped tile, a door that sticks, a scratch on a cabinet. Each one is easy to fix and easy to forget. The Snags tab keeps them as a list per project, with a photo, where the snag is, and who is fixing it.

It works for architects at handover, interior designers checking a fit-out, and design-build studios running their own site teams. Give each snag a short name you would say out loud, such as Chipped tile near the window, so anyone on site knows which one you mean.

From open to fixed

Every open snag shows how long it has been open and who it is with, so the question of who was meant to fix it does not come up. A snag open for a week turns amber, and after two weeks it turns red.

When it is done, tap Fixed + photo to add the after shot, or Mark fixed. If it was not really fixed, Reopen puts it back on the list. Snags in the menu shows open snags across every site, grouped by person or by project, which makes a site walk-round easy to plan.

Why not a spreadsheet or a chat

A snag list in a spreadsheet loses its photos. A snag list in a WhatsApp group loses its order. Neither tells you how long a defect has been waiting, or proves it was fixed. In Blueprint the before photo, the person responsible, the age and the after photo all sit on one snag. With a stage plan, each snag is tied to its stage and its floor or room.

Closing a stage while snags are still open? Blueprint tells you how many first. The project report lists the open snags and shows the fixed ones with their before and after photos.

What your client sees

On the client link, your client sees the snags you leave visible, with before and after photos once each is fixed. It is a calm way to show progress at handover without a long message. Tap the eye on any snag to keep it to your studio.

A snag you cancel, because it was raised twice or was not a real defect, leaves the client's page at once and stays in your record with the reason.
