FAQ

Overview questions

What is the difference between Overview and Insights?

Overview is the daily check: what is waiting right now, and on whom. Insights looks back over 30 days, 90 days or 12 months, with charts of visits, client decisions, snags and queries.

Do team members see the money?

No. Fees on Overview and the money charts in Insights are visible only to the studio owner.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the work itself. Log visits, share drawings and note snags, and Overview and Insights fill in as you go. There is nothing to enter twice.

More about Overview and Insights

A dashboard for a design studio

Running several sites means the urgent thing is rarely in front of you. Overview is the first screen in Blueprint and answers one question: what needs someone today? Its tiles show what is waiting on clients and how old the oldest is, what is waiting on you, open snags, and site visits in the last 30 days, with how many were verified on site and any site not visited in two weeks or more.

The studio owner also sees fees: what is to collect, what is overdue, and fee stages coming due in the next two weeks. Tap any tile to see the list behind it.

What is waiting, in one list

Below the tiles is one list of everything that needs someone: drawings and specs the client has not answered, changes asked, drawings ready to release, open snags, site queries, extra work, sites due a visit and overdue fees. The oldest sits at the top. Filter it by Clients, You or Site, and tap a row to open its project on the right tab. Recently active keeps the sites that moved lately close at hand.

Insights over weeks and months

Insights looks back over 30 days, 90 days or 12 months. The numbers cover site visits and how many were verified, client decisions and how long they take on average, snags noted, and how quickly queries are answered.

The charts show project progress as real work on each site (drawings released, selections approved, snags fixed), client response time in days from sending something to the client's answer, and how site activity and snags move over time. The money charts, billed and received, still to collect by project, and extra work approved, are for the studio owner only.

Instead of a weekly status meeting

Many studios keep a whiteboard, a weekly call or a spreadsheet to know where each job stands, and each one depends on someone updating it. Overview and Insights are built from the visits, drawings, snags and fees you already log, so they are current the moment the work is. Your clients never see either one: they are for your studio.

The bell at the top tells you the moment a client approves something or asks for a change on their client link, and in the Blueprint app your phone can ping too.
